Aninteriordecorationstudioofconsideredspaces,inemeraldandbone.
We are an independent studio of seven designers, craftspeople, and antiquarians — making interiors that age well, hold still, and feel inevitable.

We specify what is necessary, and nothing more. The room does the work.
Every commission is made by hand, in workshops we have known for years.
We choose materials that age well — and design for the hundredth winter.
Three rooms,
in three countries.
A small sample of recent commissions. Each project is a long conversation, a careful inventory of an existing place, and a design shaped by the lives that will inhabit it.

of working together.
From a focused consultation on a single room to a multi-year, principal-led commission — we work in three ways, each with the same care and the same studio.
Five steps,
none of them hurried.
Our process is not a project management chart. It is the shape of a long, careful conversation between a designer, a client, and a building.

We begin with a long, unhurried conversation — about how you live, what you collect, and what you want a space to feel like. We visit the site, photograph its light, and listen for what the building already wants to be.
Concept
A first, considered response: mood boards, palette studies, material samples, and a spatial narrative. We present in person, with fabric swatches and stone samples in hand. Nothing is final until you are moved by it.
Design Development
Drawings, specifications, and a procession of bespoke pieces take shape. We collaborate closely with architects, joiners, and craftspeople — many of whom we have worked with for over a decade.
Procurement
A dedicated project director manages every order, shipment, and customs clearance. We track each piece from workshop to site, photograph it on arrival, and store it carefully until installation day.
Installation
A choreography of craftsmen, art handlers, and florists — sometimes over many weeks. We are present for every moment: placing a lamp, leveling a rug, choosing which book goes where on the library shelf.
“Iris didn't decorate our home — she understood it. Every object, every fabric, every corner feels inevitable, as if it had always been there waiting.”
“The level of considered detail was extraordinary. Six months after handover, the team still calls to ask how the rooms are living.”
“A studio that listens more than it speaks — and the spaces they create are all the more eloquent for it.”
“They have a rare ability to balance restraint with warmth. The result is a home that is calm, generous, and quietly alive.”

We accept a small number of new commissions each year, and welcome early conversations about projects eighteen months or more away.
